This is Liara Skara, a Rotteram based frontend web developer. I make responsive websites suitable for any device, using frontend coding languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and React. With an artistic mindset and an eye for interaction I build websites and apps that are a pleasure to visit. In my experience creating these online places feels like I am painting, not with paint but with code. You can find my work at the home page.
Before I became a coder I studied business and marketing and gained several years of experience in this field.
I am a teamplayer, problem solver, investigative and a creator with high attention to details.
Art, painting, outdoor activities, sports, dancing, documentairies, music, gardening, travelling and hanging out with friends.
Interested in the intire frontend spectrum and working on ambitious projects with positive people.
About
-How I learned to code-
After a selection procedure with 160 applicants and only 20 spots available I was selected to join the Restart Network web development program in autumn 2018. The program was about 60 hours studying per week for 6 months. The Restart students were mainly expats and refugees bringing all their diffirent cultures to this pressure cooker coding campus which made it even more interesting. Because besides code I learned so much about other cultures. We had stand-up meetings and algorithm classes every day. We had masterclasses and soft skill classes every week, plus every two weeks we had to finish a project in an other new programming language. It was tough but it was the most amazing experience ♥. During the Restart Network program I worked with the following coding languages, tools and frameworks: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, React, Node.js, MySQL, Bootstrap, JQuery, Materialize, Codeigniter and XAMPP. You can find the code of some of my projects on my Github page.
